The Flinders RangesFUNLHN delivers acute, mental health, aged care, NDIS and community and allied health services through six health sites — anchored by two substantial regional hospitals in Whyalla and Port Augusta and reaching remote communities through Country Health Connect.

The EDMS is accountable to the Chief Executive Officer, sits on the Regional Leadership Team, manages every medical officer working in FUNLHN, and works collaboratively with the Chief Clinical Advisor and fellow regional EDMSs.

54 acute beds including monitored beds, chemotherapy unit, and the largest renal dialysis and paediatric services outside Adelaide. Maternity, surgery and five-day theatres.
Multi-purpose site within the Flinders Ranges MPS: 41 beds across acute and residential aged care, with general medical and emergency services.

Remote 10-bed facility ~260 km north of Port Augusta, serving Andamooka, Olympic Dam, Woomera and outlying homesteads.
Nurse-led ambulatory service with 24-hour on-call emergency cover.
Co-lead the FUNLHN clinical governance structure with the Executive Director of Nursing & Midwifery: clinical review, morbidity and mortality, incident investigation, antimicrobial stewardship and accreditation.
Recruit, credential, orient and develop all medical officers and contracts — including Rural GP Agreements and fee-for-service arrangements — and own the FUNLHN medical workforce plan and budget.
Lead regional training with universities and metropolitan units, coordinate rotations, and give strategic input to service models under the Clinical Services Capability Framework.
